The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17

"Take that concrete"
Well, our latest and greatest project has begun. Yep...we are still in project mode and this one is a doozie. As some of you know, we lost our back retaining wall in April. It washed away into our neighbor's yard. We've had two retaining wall companies come and take a look ,neither of which were too excited to take it on. If we were to hire them it would require removing our chicken coupe as well as our gardens. This is NOT what we are up for. Once again, Jeff takes on another weekend project. However, in order to put the wall back up, we have to correct the situation causing the washing away which is our drain in the yard. So, about two weeks ago, along with the help of our friend Matt, Uncle Steve and Jeff's brother Kevin, Jeff started tearing up the patio. The title of the blog is a direct quote from Jeff after jack hammering out a huge piece of the patio. His plan is to put in a trench drain allowing water to flow easier and then install at brick paver patio, which will be nice. And then it's on to the wall. Please pray for us as we undertake this. It feels like we will never own our weekends again to be together as a family...nor will we ever be out from under the expense of everything. We are relying on the wonderful community and family God has put in our lives, to help Jeff get this finished. All help and prayer is welcome!
