Blogging Back-up

Well, it seems there has been MUCH to blog about, and little time. Time is one factor, the other is that Baby Girl now sleeps upstairs in the computer room, so being able to sit and collect thoughts and funny stories is very limited. This is sad, because there seemed to be a drought on funny-ness in our house during the "Torrential Three's", but with the BIG #4 right around the corner, I feel like we're really turning a corner and the funny factor is returning.

In addition to fun quips by Big Sis, we've also had several firsts over these last months. We had our first dentist appt. in December, right before Christmas. It was a pretty exciting time of anticipation knowing that Daddy and I frequent the dentist (she doesn't realize we dread it). However, when the day rolled around and the hour approached, there were a few tears. I started to worry, but hoped they would pass...thankfully, with a nice smile and a personal hello from the office manager the fears quickly shook off and the excitement returned. She sat so well in during the whole exam. She had her own mirror to watch and even got to count her teeth on the flat screen TV above the chair. Besides a slight cross-bite, all reports were good.

About a week later, Big Sis also got her first professional hair cut!!! My great friend and "co-worker" with weddings has a great set up in her basement. So, New Years Eve day Heather and I loaded up all our girls and headed to Erica's. Heather and I both got cuts and Heather got a GREAT color, then each of the big girls got shaped up. It was pretty fancy to them and they enjoyed the special treatment. Big Sis has had a few trims in her life, but she unfortunately inherited my EXTREME slow growing hair, so this has been the first need for an actual, accurate job!

In Baby Girls world, she is constantly doing new and fun things. She has about 4 signs, babbles, pulls up, trying to stand on her own, loves babies and blowing kisses. Anytime she sees a phone, cell phone, hears a phone or sees a remote control her hand quickly flies up to her ear and she says "HI, HI"!!! It was a good laugh the first time this happened. She has almost 8 teeth, 4 on top and bottom. Unfortunately she's got pretty chronic ear infections so we had our first ENT appt. on Friday. We are scheduled for tubes on Tuesday morning. Thankfully she is still an extremely happy girl even with double ear infections about every other month.
I can't believe birthdays are right around the corner. We've got Big Sis' planned and can't wait to celebrate the 1st with Baby Girl! Check back soon for pics. of that fun!
