Every once in a while...

...God graciously gives our family some down time. Time which isn't devoted to anyone or anything else. The strange thing is that during these times, I tend to loose all track of time and am so confused by the lack of busy-ness in our lives. Isn't that sad?!

Well this weekend was yet another one of the many weekends we have had to ourselves since the start of the New Year. It's great! We decided to do a few family things on Saturday. We started the day out with a visit to Powder Valley Nature Center. This is a favorite place for Jeff and Ella and certainly a great place to spend the day together taking in all the beauty around us. They usually have this great play & exploring area for children, however, they are in the middle of construction on those areas. So, we were "forced" to quietly observe the birds, squirrels and wildlife through their viewing window. I think my favorite part was the microphones they have placed outside and wired inside so that as you're watching all the activity, you are unknowingly soothed by the sounds of nature that is just beyond the glass. It was beautiful!

Later Saturday evening we got together with our friends the Jungebergs and enjoyed a warm chili dinner and headed to Concord Bowling Lanes for Ella's first night of bowling. I was SO excited...and Ella shared my excitement when she got there and realized all that was going to occur. Grammy and Grandpa Moore were there to watch and take in this first experience. We had a ball (no pun intended)! There is this great ramp device for kids that allows them to interact more in the game AND score really high scores. How many 2 year olds (almost...YIKES) that can score a 109!

Enjoy the pics. and check back soon!

Yeah for Ella! I would love to see more pics of her bowling. Glad you had fun...that's a great family outing idea. I look forward to trying that with the girls. - Heather
