The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Tart 'n' Tiny
That's what I call my girls. They are tiny in size, but BIG in personality. I've been spending a lot of time lately reflecting on Baby Girl. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this age...really anything from birth to about 18 months. When I was pregnant with Little Miss, I spent the majority of the 9 months consumed with the fear of loving another child. I didn't think it was possible that my heart could be anymore full than it was with Big Sis. Then Baby Girl arrived, and as many of you who have more than one child know, it just all falls into place. She was beautiful, sweet, squishy and any other word appropriate for a newborn. And now, she lights up my whole world! She has such a hilarious personality, so different from Big Sis, which is so fun to experience. Big Sis is hilarious just because she exists. Her personality is bigger than she is and therefore most things she says or does, however non-intentional, manage to make me laugh. Baby Girl, on the other hand, seems to have the "Class Clown" personality to a "T". I know this b/c she reminds me so much of my middle sister, and Lord willing, she will be the middle child, so it only seems fitting. She loves to fake cough, sneeze, dance, laugh like a machine gun, play peek a boo and lately she really loves to look at you and show her teeth in the most hilarious smile ever! I can't seem to stop kissing and holding her. I loved on Big Sis all the time, but she was not a "hold me" baby. Baby Girl loves to be held and toted around. She cries when I leave her and chooses me over anyone else...I LOVE IT!!! (I should side note that she quickly stops crying after we are out of sight...she's not one of those screaming babies). She is a talking machine these days. Beyond the amazing number of signs that she knows and uses regularly to communicate, our house is filled with the sounds of her walking around and yelling Big Sis' name. Her vocabulary also consists of the following: Bird (in conjunction with the sign for chicken), Uh-Oh, ouchie, Hi, Hello, Daddy, Mommy, milk, night night, baby (which is Da Da) and a woof sound anytime she sees or hears a dog. She a freak for babies and animals, they are the joy of her days. She also loves her sleep. Now that she is off the bottle, she generally goes to bed at 6:30, sleeps until about 5 or 5:30, has a diaper change and goes down until 9 or 10. Her naps are about 3 hours and the rest of the day she is content to wander, play and get into general mischief. It has been a while since I posted, so I wanted to share these passing thoughts on Baby Girl. Sometimes second children get overlooked b/c we tend to be so busy with the older ones...so I thought I'd take an opportunity to dote a little.

Great post! She sure is adorable:)
so funny that i could have written the exact same post about my baby girl! (except the sleeping part, there they are VASTLY different)
such a treasure, our little girls.
a beautiful post. she is a joy.
Those pics are great. You mentioned her being THE middle child??? What about one of the middle children? Ha
She sounds so fun to be around!!! I can't believe how much talking she is doing!
Middle children RULE!! ;) My only gripe is the part where she ONLY lets momma hold her...ugh...AND that you take her from me the minute she fusses! UGH. Can't wait for all the squeezes I'll get tonight!
