Baby Girl's party was a huge success. We have a tendency to invite a ton of people to our girl's parties. This hasn't been an issue thus far because we've always had a good location, but this year, for Baby Girl's first, those facilities were not available. So, we were only left with the option of our home. Now, we've had a lot of people in our house many times, but not a lot of people AND a lot of kids. That was our Baby Girl's birthday party...LOTS of people and quite possibly even MORE kids! I think our final head count was about 63 people.
I started praying for the weather about 2 weeks in advance. Each day the forecast improved...it was AWESOME to watch prayers so obviously answered. We set up tables and chairs outside and had a few inside and the party was off and running. While I wasn't able to visit with everyone, I think all guests enjoyed themselves. The kids played outside with bubble, sidewalk chalk and the toys. We kept the food simple, burgers, hot dogs, chips and pasta (thanks Dina and John).Baby Girl thought her cake was perfect...for entertaining herself. She never really ate any, but the giggles came when she dug her way through the cake and then clapped afterwards (picture crumbs flying everywhere). Thank goodness for Grace Tudor, who crawled around and enjoyed the cake from the floor seats!Baby Girl got a lot of great presents. The older kids loved helping her open them, and Big Sis has thoroughly enjoyed the rolling Bumble Bee from Grandpa David. Thanks so much to everyone who attended. We hope you enjoyed celebrating with us!

Erin,
so glad the party turned out so well. I can't wait to see Viv. She is sooo big! Last time I saw her was last June, at Erica's wedding. Man, has time flown by. See you in a couple of weeks.

I'm glad at least one of us had good weather! It's crazy how fast the first year goes by! Time to have another one!! : )
Yeah, Viv! I'll never forget her squishing through her cake like it was playdoh. The first picture is SO precious!
