Where are you going...tell me where do you go?

Or maybe "where DID we go?" would be a better way to put it. I feel like I'm completely playing catch up on life and the overwhelming factor in that makes me just not do anything. The reason? Two computer crashes in two months (I think). Yep...the first time we lost it, we let it sit for over a week and it turned out to be just our monitor! YEAH! One would think, until approx. a few weeks later the real crash came. A new hard-drive. Third one in the five years we've been married. So, in light of that, I feel I don't even know what to say about our goings and comings w/in those months. We've been a busy little family. Big Sis is still thriving in the attitude of a three year old and shows little signs of coming out any time soon. For those who read this that have three year olds, you can sympathize. For those who don't...BEWARE! She still has such sweet moments, especially when sleeping! :) We had a very sweet conversation a few nights ago. It went something like this:
BigS: Mommy, can God talk to us?
M: Well, yes, but not how Mommy talks to you. He talks to our hearts and teaches us that way.
BigS: But why can't we hear Him?
M: (In my head thinking "Darn good question". Real answer went:) "Well, we just can't but we know He's there by the things He shows us in our lives."
BigS: Is He still on the cross?
M: NO! Remember, He is risen and He's in Heaven!
BigS: When can we go to Heaven to see Jegus (her pronunciation) and Grammy Kathy?
M: I'm not sure.
BigS: Ummm...maybe tomorrow?
M: Nope (thinking, I hope not!)
BigS: Ummm...how 'bout in a few weeks?
M: I don't think so.
BigS: (with a growing smirk b/c she now knows she's prolonging our bedtime stuff) Ummm...how 'bout Saturday!!!

Just one of those moments I wanted to be sure I documented. They seem to be few and far between, probably more because of my sleep being fewer and farther between, and not only a result of the "terrible threes". We're working together though. She constantly reminds me of my sin...Oh yeah!!Then there is Baby Girl. She turned 7 months yesterday. We go to the Dr. for her check up on Friday so I will have stats for you. We've got our first ear infection. Thankfully, neither of my girls get crazy with the ear thing, it just interrupts their sleep. One might question what I would consider interrupted sleep for our wee one, but it just seemed different. I wanted to have it confirmed before I busted out the "Healthy Sleep Habits" book and did sleep training bootcamp on her. So, we're doing the 10 days of anti-biotics and we shall see what Dr. Tina says on Friday. Other than that, she's a busy little bee. She is crawling, waving, drooling, sitting up (from crawling), mimicking us when we say things, eating twice a day and whatever supplements she finds on the floor while crawling around and is an all around HAPPY baby!! I LOVE this age!Jeff had his wisdom teeth pulled. Thanks to those who prayed for that, it went AWESOME! He is so relieved. We are in the process of finalizing the porch. That project was put on hold over the summer, but we are ready to move forward and will post pics. when it is finished.

I am SWAMPED w/ the wedding stuff. I have a wedding each weekend in October and 1 in November. I believe I've already got 4 or 5 on the calendar for 2009. It's a nice little supplement and fun for me, but it is tiring at times. I've also taken on another little girl to babysit about twice a week. She is sweet as can be!The fall holds lots of fun things for us. We've already been apple picking, we've got two hayrides, costume parties, block parties and two out of town trips! A lot to look forward to, but a little overwhelming to see it all on the calendar. We were able to get away for a weekend in Chicago. Unfortunately, it seems that file of pics. has gone missing in the Great Crash of 2008 and will hopefully be retrieved! If that is the case, I will post when they are up.

So, there you have it. It's a lot in a few months and the crashes came at a most inconvenient time, but in this day and age...is there ever a convenient time to loose your right arm???...I mean your computer! :)

Glad to see you're back up & running! Not sure when we'll be in St. Louis next, but we when we do come, we should plan a big ol' after-church lunch & get everyone together. It's been too long!
