Lack of explanation

For those of you perplexed by the "paint chip time-out" I will try and explain.
1. We had a small chip in our wall. I had asked Jeff two days before the aforesaid "incident" about fixing that chip.
2. Growing struggles w/ Baby Girl have made us re-evaluate discipline.
3. Decided to implement the "naughty chair" taught by our favorite gal Jo-Jo from Super Nanny.
4. I stupidly decide to place Baby Girl in that "naughty chair" directly in front of the small chip of paint and instruct her not to pick it.
5. Set time for three minutes.
6. She sits quietly, about 1/2 way through tells me she can't do it and I proceed to encourage her in what a great job she has done thus far.
7. Timer goes off, Baby Girl gets up and receives more praise for a job well done in time out. She is very proud of herself as well.
8. Begin to vacuum in preparation for our small group meeting that night, round corner see large spot where small chip once was, also see circles on the wall from the plaster under the now LARGE chip, told those are smiley faces.
9. Make Baby Girl vacuum up chips and move "naughty chair" to other side of the room.

Hope all is clear! :)

I couldn't help but crack up, even though it's not funny. I even told my husband about it. Hope the naughty chair starts working out better for you!
